VA Construction Project - Expand Emergency Department Cheyenne, WY 442 - 303   3

Background
The Department of Veterans Affairs is issuing this solicitation for the construction project titled 'Expand Emergency Department' at the Cheyenne VA Medical Center. The goal of this contract is to enhance the emergency services provided by the facility through the construction of a third-floor addition on the north side of the building. This project is part of the VA’s Minor Construction program and is set aside for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB).

Work Details
The work includes selective demolition, general construction, and alterations necessary for the expansion. Specific tasks include:
1. General construction work involving all labor, materials, equipment, and supervision as per drawings and specifications.
2. Architectural and site modifications.
3. Installation and modification of fire protection systems, plumbing systems, mechanical systems, electrical systems, and telecommunication systems as described in the specifications.
4. The contractor must furnish any required performance and payment bonds within 10 calendar days after award.
5. Normal working hours will be from 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM Mountain Time, Monday through Friday, excluding weekends and federal holidays.

Period of Performance
The contract performance period begins within 10 calendar days after receiving notice to proceed and must be completed by October 31, 2024.
