A final decision on the exact date will be provided by the Navy no later than18 February 2022.FY22 USS ROSS (DDG 71) Extended Dry-Docking Selected Restricted Availability (EDSRA)The Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) issues solicitation N00024-22-R-4422 for the execution of the FY22 USS ROSS (DDG 71) EDSRA. This availability includes a combination of maintenance, modernization, and repair, and will require a highly capable contractor with substantial facilities, as well as human resources capable of completing, coordinating, and integrating multiple areas of ship maintenance, repair and modernization.This availability is solicited on a coast-wide basis on the East Coast under a single solicitation, and a single contract to complete this availability is expected to be awarded to one contractor. Based on the complexity, magnitude and duration of the requirement, the Government s market research indicates there are not two or more small business concerns capable of competing for these requirements and therefore this procurement will not be set-aside for small business (FAR 19.502-2(b)).This solicitation is issued electronically via SAM.gov and interested parties must comply with this announcement. Interested offerors should monitor the SAM.gov page for the release of the solicitation and any applicable amendments, thereafter. Background
The Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) has issued solicitation N00024-22-R-4422 for the execution of the FY22 USS ROSS (DDG 71) Extended Dry-Docking Selected Restricted Availability (EDSRA). This availability includes a combination of maintenance, modernization, and repair, and will require a highly capable contractor with substantial facilities and human resources capable of completing, coordinating, and integrating multiple areas of ship maintenance, repair, and modernization. The availability is solicited on a coast-wide basis on the East Coast under a single solicitation. The Government anticipates making a single award on or around July 2022.
Work Details
The work to be completed under the contract includes preparing for and accomplishing repair and alterations during the Extended Dry-Docking Selected Restricted Availability (EDSRA) onboard USS Ross (DDG 71) as specified in the statement of work provided. The work also involves providing support services for various ship alteration installations such as Navy Cash Equipment Refresh, Global Broadcast System Receive Broadcast Manager, Ships Signal Exploitation Equipment Increment F System, Consolidated Afloat Networks and Enterprise Services HW2 Tech Refresh, Tactical Tomahawk Weapon Control System V5.4.0.2 and TC2S 5.0.1V7 Hardware, among others.

The period of performance for the contract is approximately 16 months, beginning in July 2022 and completing in November 2023.
