USNS LARAMIE (T-AO 203) FY 2025 Mid-Term Availability (MTA) Amendment 0003   4

Background
The USNS LARAMIE (T-AO 203) is under the jurisdiction of the Military Sealift Command, which is responsible for providing strategic sealift and ocean transportation for the Navy. The goal of this contract is to prepare for and accomplish the Mid-Term Availability (MTA) of the USNS LARAMIE, ensuring that it meets operational readiness standards through necessary repairs and maintenance.

Work Details
The contractor shall prepare for and accomplish the Voyage Repair (VR), overhaul, or alterations of the USNS LARAMIE as specified in the Work Item (WI) package provided in Attachment J-1. Responsibilities include:

1. Providing management, procurement, production, testing, technical capability, resources, and quality assurance services.

2. Ensuring timely procurement of materials and reporting on their receipt and installation.

3. Utilizing progress measurement systems to track physical progress against planned schedules.

4. Developing a performance milestone schedule/critical path chart to measure scheduled performance.

5. Applying quality control procedures to ensure compliance with required standards.

6. Managing subcontractor performance to ensure quality standards are met.

7. Preparing various plans including Heavy Weather Plans, Cold Weather Plans, Fire and Flooding Protection Plans as per specified requirements.

Period of Performance
The contract work will be performed over a specified timeframe that includes preparation and execution phases for the MTA of the USNS LARAMIE, with specific milestones outlined in the Work Item package.

Place of Performance
All work shall be performed at the contractor’s shipyard unless otherwise specified.
