USNS Kanawha ROH/DD   4

Background
The USNS Kanawha (T-AO 196) is under the jurisdiction of the Military Sealift Command, which is responsible for providing strategic sealift and ocean transportation for the Department of Defense.

The goal of this contract is to prepare for and accomplish the Regular Overhaul/Dry-Docking (ROH/DD) of the USNS Kanawha, ensuring that it meets operational readiness and safety standards.

Work Details
The contractor shall prepare for and accomplish the VR, overhaul, or alterations of the USNS Kanawha as specified in the Work Item (WI) package provided in Attachment J-1. Responsibilities include:

1. Providing necessary management, procurement, production, testing, technical capability and resources, and quality assurance services.
2. Ensuring timely procurement of materials and reporting on their receipt, storage, installation, and use.
3. Using progress measurement systems to track physical progress against scheduled plans.
4. Developing a performance milestone schedule/critical path chart to measure scheduled performance.
5. Managing subcontractor performance to ensure quality standards are met.

Specific tasks include:
- Prepare for and accomplish ROH/DD per Attachment J-1
- Provide unit pricing for various services including electrical shore power, generator usage, potable water supply, bilge water removal, crane usage, and hazardous waste handling fees.

Period of Performance
The contract will be performed over a specified timeframe that includes preparation and execution phases as outlined in the WI package.

Place of Performance
All work shall be performed at the contractor's shipyard unless otherwise specified.
