USDA STRATUS POOL 1 BOA- Notice of intent   2

THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTE This is a notice of the government's intent to solicit a task order under the STRATUS Pool 1 Basic Ordering Agreements (BOAs) to Microsoft who has been evaluated and determined to be a capable BOA holder. The order placed under this BOA will be for Cloud Service Provider Core Services.

On October 11, 2023, the USDA distributed RFQ 12314423Q0145 as a combined synopsis/solicitation to Microsoft for STRATUS Cloud BOA POOL 1: Cloud Service Provider Core Services. After completion of evaluation of technical approach and price discount methodology, on April 26, 2024, the USDA issued a BOA to Mircosoft.

The ordering period will be from April 26, 2024 April 25, 2034. The USDA has established this suite of BOAs in the spirit of the Federal Acquisition Streamlining Act. These BOAs are intended to decrease costs, reduce paperwork, and save time by streamlining the search for sources, the development of documents, and the evaluation of offers and selections of sources.

The USDA will assess the cloud landscape at least annually to determine if an on-ramp RFQ will be issued. Any potential future on-ramping actions for this BOA will be posted on SAM.gov and all responsible sources may submit a quotation to be considered by the agency. However, this notice of intent is NOT a request for quotations.
