Uscgc Hamilton Barge Crane CIWS Install

Background
The solicitation is for Barge Crane services to conduct crane operations for CGC Hamilton MK15 Close In Weapons System. The work is required to be performed at USCGC Hamilton (WMSL-753) in North Charleston, SC. The project is essential for removing and reinstalling CGC Hamilton’s MK 15 CIWS and associated equipment with a refurbished MK 15 CIWS, and any delay in the installation will greatly affect the Ship's Operations schedule.

Work Details
The tasks include rigging off the MK15 CIWS, LCS, and RCS console from the ship's exterior, rigging on the new MK 15 CIWS, LCS, and RCS, and providing a pier side crane with specific requirements such as maximum outrigger load not exceeding 100 kips, using 5’x5’ outrigger pads or greater, placing outriggers directly over the pile bents on the pier, and ensuring that cranes with a capacity greater than 30T must travel down the north side of the pier. Additionally, an operator and one rigger are requested for 08 hours of work.

Period of Performance
The period of performance for this contract is from 22nd April 2024 to 10th May 2024.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at USCGC Hamilton (WMSL-753), located at 1050 Register St., North Charleston, SC 29405.
