Description

The USCG, Base New Orleans, has a requirement for the removal and replacement of a rooftop mounted 15-ton Trane Split System Heat Pump Condenser located at USCG Station Port O'Connor. The contractor must perform to the standards in this contract in accordance with the attached Scope of Work (SOW). Place of Performance: USCG Station Port O'Connor, 2307 B West Maple Street, Port O'Connor, TX 77982 5.0 BASE CONTRACT REQUIREMENTS. 5.1 Contractor shall submit specification on new rooftop HVAC unit and corrosion protection coating for approval to the Coast Guard Contracting Officer Representative prior to ordering materials. 5.2 Contractor shall remove one rooftop mounted 15-ton Trane Split System Heat Pump Condenser from the roof of the multi-mission building. 5.3 Contractor shall disconnect all refrigerant, condensate (drain) line, smoke alarm, ductwork, mechanical ventilation and all electric wiring. 5.4 Contractor shall install a new 15-ton Split System Heat Pump Condenser on the roof of the multi-mission building. 5.5 Contractor shall secure the new unit to the curb adapter. 5.6 Contractor shall reconnect to existing drain line, smoke alarm, mechanical ventilation and all electric wiring. 5.7 Contractor shall seal the top side of the curb adapter with foam tape. 5.8 The condensing coils shall have factory E-coating applied. 5.9 Contractor shall apply R-10 surfsill corrosion protection (silver) coating to the compressor, liquid line filter dryers, and all other steel components in the condenser area. 5.10 Contractor shall check all connections for leaks and ensure that the unit operates in a smooth efficient manner. 5.11 Contractor shall remove old HVAC unit and parts from the project area and properly dispose off-site. 5.12 Contractor shall provide a 1-year warrant on all parts and labor. 5.13 Contractor shall provide a 5-year factory warranty on the new HVAC unit. 5.14 Contractor is responsible for the clean-up of the site and is responsible for repairing any damage caused during construction at no-cost to the Government.
