USAID Development Innovation Ventures (DIV) Informational Session

Background
The United States Government (USG), represented by the United States Agency for International Development’s Nigeria Mission (USAID/Nigeria), is hosting a hybrid informational session to engage local Nigerian firms.

This session is part of USAID's Development Innovation Ventures (DIV) program, which aims to provide grant funding to innovators and researchers for testing new ideas and advancing solutions that improve lives. USAID has a long history of assistance in Nigeria, promoting economic growth, food security, health education, governance, gender equality, renewable energy access, and stability.

Work Details
Participants will learn about DIV’s approach to funding innovative global development solutions. The session will cover:
- who can apply for funding;
- potential project locations;
- core principles guiding the funding process;
- assessment criteria for each stage of funding;
- details on the application process and timeline.

The presentation will be followed by a question-and-answer period with the speakers. The DIV program supports various forms of innovation including business models, products, behavioral interventions, applied research, or replications of proven innovations.
