Background
The United States Air Force Academy (USAFA) has a requirement to clear all dormitory storage areas of excess furniture and trash. This project aims to improve efficiency, agility, innovation, and potential cost savings by emptying crucial space.

The USAFA Cadet Wing underwent a complete renovation between 1992 and 1997, which included outfitting over 2,800 dorm rooms and 40 Student Activity Rooms for more than 4,300 cadets. The furniture acquired during this renovation no longer meets requirements and needs to be removed.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for the following tasks:
1. **Turn-in of Government Property**:
- Accomplish, coordinate, track, and provide copies of all paperwork for DLA material/equipment turn-in.
- Follow all rules on paperwork and adhere to regulations on disposal of government property.
- Ensure that all furniture is appropriately palletized and banded for DLA turn-in requirements.
- Load items at building 2350 using loading dock or forklift and offload at Fort Carson DLA disposal yard.

2. **Coordination, Transportation, and Disposal**:
- Dispose of non-government assets as identified by the facility manager and remove garbage to an appropriate refuse site off the installation.
- Work with Peterson SFB to identify items that cannot be turned into DLA for disposal.

3. **Disposal of Miscellaneous Items**:
- Dispose of miscellaneous items in storage areas and trash according to federal/local policies.
- Donate items that are eligible for donation through appropriate DLA guidance.
