USAF - Hyper Converged Infrastructure (HCI) - MRAS

The 763rd Enterprise Sourcing Squadron (763rd ESS), under the United States Air Force (USAF), is conducting market research to identify qualified businesses capable of supporting their Hyper Converged Infrastructure (HCI) and Storage Area Network VMware VSAN Migration and License Renewal requirements. This initiative aims to sustain, operate, and maintain the HCI system, ensuring a seamless transition from Pivot 3 Acuity Software to VMware VSAN. The project is crucial for maintaining the Air Force's technological infrastructure, which supports mission-critical operations.

The contract involves a comprehensive set of tasks including software conversion, license renewal, and ongoing support for both software and hardware components. Specifically, it requires expertise in managing a bare metal VMware EXSI type 1 hypervisor software environment that includes VMware vSphere, VMware VCenter, and VMware Log Insight (Aria Operations). Additionally, the project involves maintaining the Rubrik Disaster Recovery solution that backs up essential command and control files and virtual machines both locally and remotely.

This RFI seeks responses from businesses with experience in similar projects of comparable size and scope. The goal is to gather information on potential sources that can provide not only technical capabilities but also ensure compliance with annual software licenses and hardware warranty renewals. The current setup has been validated through a successful Proof of Concept at Joint Base McGuire on NIPRNet in 2023 as a replacement for Pivot 3 Acuity software.
