Description

The General Services Administration (GSA), on behalf of the United States Air Force (USAF), is conducting market research to support a new initiative at Luke Air Force Base, Arizona. The primary objective of this research is to gather information from potential contractors who can provide specialized expertise in weapons integration and operational live-mission support. This effort is part of the USAF's broader goal to enhance mission readiness and effectiveness through advanced training and simulation environments.

The work being requested involves providing Weapons Integration Subject Matter Expertise (WIS) for mission operations at the Live Mission Operations Center (LMOC) located at Luke AFB. The tasks include roles such as a Surface-to-Air Missile (SAM)-1 director, a Live/Virtual/Constructive (LVC) computer operator, and/or a Range Training Officer (RTO). These roles are critical for integrating various systems that facilitate live mission tracking, execution, and analysis within the LMOC. The successful execution of these tasks will ensure that mission operations are conducted efficiently and effectively, leveraging both live and simulated environments.

The LMOC represents a sophisticated synergy of systems managed by the Air Education and Training Command, Air Combat Command, and the LMOC System Program Office. It incorporates technologies such as air combat maneuvering instrumentation, FAA radar feeds, Link 16 communications, and surface-to-air threat emulators to create a comprehensive operating picture for aircraft tracking and engagement. Contractors will be expected to operate within this advanced technological environment to support real-time mission execution.
