U.S. Navy OSP & Circuit Support - Limited Sources Justification

Background
The U.S. Navy outside plant (OSP) and circuit support contract aims to provide updates to telecommunication infrastructure. This support will include program management, site survey assessments, and implementation services. The contract is being issued by the U.S. Navy, and the goal is to modernize the Navy's telecommunications infrastructure.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for continued development and documentation of existing OSP infrastructure at U.S. Naval and Marine Corps locations, development of logical and physical diversity designs, OSP analysis, surveys, and implementation support, circuit ordering support, configuration and installation of network equipment, testing of all services to ensure they are performing as required.
The contractor will also be involved in surveying over 2,000 manhole locations, 50 Navy Bases, 40 DODIN nodes, and 1,507 circuits to obtain detailed knowledge of the telecommunications infrastructure and base operations relative to telecommunications utilization.

Period of Performance
The period of performance for this action is a one-year base period with three one-year option periods.
