Description

Enclosed is a Request for Quotations (RFQ) for moving/transportation services from legacy building to the new compound of the USCG Merida. Please refer to attached files for detailed information on the request, delivery and payment.

The U.S. Government intends to award a contract/purchase order to the responsible company submitting an acceptable offer at the lowest price. The award will be based on initial quotations without discussions, although discussions might be hold with companies in the competitive range if there is a need to do so.

Background
The United States Consulate in Merida is moving to a new embassy compound (NCC) and requires moving services. The goal of the contract is to facilitate the relocation of materials from the current office location to the new compound, ensuring a smooth transition for Consulate operations.

Work Details
The Contractor shall provide all necessary personnel, supervision, moving supplies, equipment, and vehicles to efficiently accomplish the Consulate’s office move. Services include: planning, pick up and loading of property, transporting to the NCC, delivering property to designated room(s), positioning at the new location, padding and packing/crating of certain items, disassembly of property, and moving bulky and heavy items.

The Contractor will also provide move planning services as specified in the Work Statement. Performance may be required outside normal work hours to avoid traffic or meet other schedule requirements. The Contractor shall not be required to pack and unpack furniture being relocated from office buildings/locations except for certain items indicated during a walk-through. Employees will self-pack their workstations using pre-delivered supplies from the Contractor. The Contractor will ensure that all self-packed items are handled with care.

The project requires moving current Consulate operations including staff offices, workshops, mailroom, training rooms, health unit, and storage areas. The Contractor must also schedule walk-throughs prior to the move to assess logistics and requirements.

Period of Performance
The first phase of the move is set to begin in approximately March 2025 and is expected to take about four weekdays for completion.

Place of Performance
The services will be performed at two locations: U.S. Consulate Merida located at Calle 60 No. 338-K x 29 y 31, Col. Alcalá Martín, Merida Yucatán, CP. 97050 and the New Consulate Compound located at Calle 60 Avenida Prolongación Paseo Montejo, Numero 01, Departamento VM 01 D Subcondominio VM01 Colonia vía Montejo, Merida Yucatán, Código Postal 97204.
