Educational Consulting for Kayenta Community Sch   2

Background
The Department of the Interior (DOI), Bureau of Indian Education (BIE), Division of Acquisitions is seeking educational consulting services for Kayenta Community School, a Bureau-Operated School located in Kayenta, Arizona. The school serves grades K-8 and supports approximately 289 students. The comprehensive needs assessment and school-wide plan indicate the need for structured response to intervention with learning centers, teacher-led stations, and targeted skills to address the achievement gap developed during the pandemic.
The goal of the project is to provide extensive support to the school by working with school staff for job-embedded coaching in ELA and Math, fostering improvement through high-quality professional development on-site, and providing equitable professional development and coaching for all academic and administrative staff, specifically new teachers.

Work Details
The consultants will deliver extensive job-embedded coaching in ELA and Math, including instructional goal setting based on student data, modeling of lessons, co-teaching, observation to provide constructive feedback, support with examining student data, lesson/unit planning support, professional development sessions, feedback reports and next step goals for teachers and administration. They will also conduct Professional Development workshops that allow teachers to have usable related materials and information to implement in their class the next day.
The level of effort includes 2 consultants for a total of 22 days of service per year. Additionally, they will provide training in reading instruction best practices, site visits with walkthroughs with administration, attend PLCs as needed, provide additional professional development as needed, and support workshops such as parent nights.
The place of performance is at Kayenta Boarding School in Kayenta, AZ.

Period of Performance
The period of performance includes a base year from April 1, 2024 to March 31, 2025, with option years extending from April 1, 2025 to March 31, 2029.
