Tree Planting and Forestry Services, Rivers Project Office (RPO)   4

Background
The US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) is seeking contractors to provide tree planting, forestry, restoration, and maintenance activities within the St. Louis District of the Mississippi Valley Division. The contract area includes alluvial floodplains and watersheds in various Missouri and Illinois counties. The period of performance for this contract will be for a five-year ordering period. Safety requirements are set forth in the Corps of Engineers’ Manual, EM 385-1-1, entitled “Safety and Health Requirements Manual”. Contractors are required to submit a Contractor Work Plan, Quality Control Program, Inspection System, Records System, Accident Reports, Accident Notification, and Pre-Work and End-Work Reporting.

Work Details
The contractor is responsible for furnishing all labor, equipment, operators, supervision/site superintendent, supplies and materials necessary to perform tree planting, forestry, restoration, and maintenance activities. This includes supplying and installing plant materials, herbicide, fertilizer, mowing, cultipacking, harrowing, wood shredding, wood chipping, forestry labor, timber survey, and boundary survey.
The work will be performed within the specified contract area which includes various Missouri and Illinois counties. The contractor must comply with safety requirements set forth in the Corps of Engineers’ Manual EM 385-1-1.

Period of Performance
The period of performance for this contract will be for a five-year ordering period.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed within the St. Louis District of the Mississippi Valley Division, US Army Corps of Engineers (Corps), which extends from Saverton, MO to Cairo, IL along the Mississippi River and from LaGrange Lock & Dam south of Beardstown, IL to Grafton, IL along the Illinois River. The specific work areas may be identified on Corps fee title lands, partnership lands, and other federal government fee title lands within the specified contract area.
