Tractor, Rubber Tired, Articulated Steering, Multi-Purpose (TRAM)

Background
Marine Corps Systems Command (MARCORSYSCOM), Portfolio Manager Combat Support Systems (PfM-CSS), Program Manager Engineer Systems (PM ES) intends to acquire a replacement for the currently fielded Tractor, Rubber Tired, Articulated Steering, Multi-Purpose (TRAM).
The goal of this contract is to provide the Marine Corps with a more versatile, easily deployable, and scalable engineer capability.

Work Details
The TRAM is a militarized commercial type loader featuring pneumatic tires, four-wheel drive, articulated frame steering, and a diesel engine.
It must operate as a multipurpose bucket loader with a minimum capacity of 2.5 cubic yards and as a forklift equipped with 72-inch forks capable of lifting a minimum of 12,000 pounds, with an objective of 15,000 pounds at a 48-inch load center.
The vehicle should achieve a minimal speed of 20 mph and have at least a 60-inch fording depth.
It must be capable of operating over uneven and unprepared surfaces including sand, snow, and mud.
Combat, combat support, and combat service support units will utilize the TRAM.

Period of Performance
The anticipated Request for Proposal is expected to be released in the third quarter of Fiscal Year 25 with an ordering period of five years.
