A single organized site visit has been scheduled for Thursday, January 16, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. PT.

For the site visit, we ask the following: The names of any visitors, and whether or not they are US citizens (if not, they should bring a passport)

Background
The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Agricultural Research Service (ARS), Pacific West Area Office is seeking to fulfill a construction requirement for the installation of a new raisin grape trellis system at the San Joaquin Valley Agricultural Sciences Center in Parlier, CA.

This project aims to support the USDA-ARS facility's active grape breeding program by establishing a trial block for testing advanced raisin lines. The goal is to obtain a high-quality trellis system that meets the program's needs at minimal cost.

Work Details
The contractor is required to provide all labor, supervision, tools, and materials necessary for the construction and installation of a new raisin grape trellis system over a 4.61-acre block.

The work includes:
- Marking the field for line, plants, and end posts;
- Laying out all posts, anchors, and cross braces;
- Applying asphalt coating to the bottom of end posts and line posts;
- Installing footplates on end posts;
- Installing end posts, line posts, training stakes, and anchors;
- Installing end V-cross arms and attaching cable trusses to end Vs;
- Assembling and installing VAS-Gable cross arms;
- Laying out all new wire in proper sequence;
- Installing highway clips;
- Clipping six wires to line posts and stations;
- Installing MS-2005R strainers to end posts;
- Installing tension devices to end posts;
- Attaching wires to strainers and tensioning them.

All work must conform to the terms, conditions, drawings, and specifications contained in this document.

Period of Performance
The period of performance for this contract is 60 calendar days after the Notice to Proceed.

Place of Performance
The construction projects will be performed at the USDA ARS PWA San Joaquin Valley Agricultural Sciences Center located at 9611 S Riverbend Ave, Parlier, CA 93648.
