Background
The National Human Genome Research Institute (NHGRI) is seeking to support a contractor to work with students and faculty at 'Target Institutions' to develop and facilitate access to instructional materials for genomic data science, cloud computing, and related topics. The purpose of this procurement is to continue the foundational work of the first two years and expand the scope of activities to reflect the lessons learned during the initial period of performance. NHGRI aims to cultivate a diverse pool of future researchers, healthcare providers, and educators by enabling a broader spectrum of undergraduate educational institutions to have access and do research in genomic data science.

Work Details
The contractor will be required to increase the number of GDSCN partner institutions and faculty members, expand the scope of content development to include data science fundamentals, incorporate ethical, legal, and social implications (ELSI) research areas into content development, design GDSCN activities that reinforce horizontal management structure, develop opportunities/roles for students in GDSCN, and plan an in-person annual meeting with travel support. Additionally, the contractor will be responsible for creating educational content introducing general data science concepts to undergraduate students at Target Institutions leveraging NHGRI’s AnVIL cloud computing platform.
