Terminus Dam/Lake Kaweah Weed and Pest Control   3

Background
The solicitation is for Weed and Pest Control Services at Terminus Dam/Lake Kaweah. The services are to be performed at various locations throughout the Lake Kaweah project, located approximately 25 miles East of Visalia, California. The contractor is responsible for planning, coordinating, organizing, managing, and performing the activities described within the Performance Work Statement (PWS) in accordance with the performance objectives. The contract requires a pre-work meeting to be scheduled at least 10 days prior to commencement of work at the Terminus Dam/Lake Kaweah Park Headquarters.

Work Details
The contractor is required to perform Weed and Pest Control services, including travel to treatment areas, mixing chemicals off-site, application of chemicals, placement of bait, removal of dead squirrels, record keeping, and reporting. The contractor shall maintain accurate and detailed records as required by the contract and communicate respectfully with visitors, other contractors, outside agencies, and project personnel. Additionally, the contractor shall be responsible for all materials and equipment in their possession and maintain telephone services for communication with the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) or designated representative during daylight hours.

Period of Performance
The period of performance for the base year is from April 8, 2024, to March 31, 2025. Option years are also included in the solicitation: Option Year 1 from April 1, 2025, to March 31, 2026; Option Year 2 from April 1, 2026, to March 31, 2027; Option Year 3 from April 1, 2027, to March 31, 2028; and Option Year 4 from April 1, 2028 to March 31, 2029.

Place of Performance
The services are to be performed at various locations throughout the Lake Kaweah project. Detailed maps for specific locations and areas are available at the Park Office. The pre-work meeting will be held at the Terminus Dam/Lake Kaweah Park Headquarters in Lemon Cove CA.
