Sterile Processing Service Water Testing   2

Background
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is seeking a contractor to provide testing, maintenance, and repair services for sterile processing water systems. This initiative is crucial for ensuring effective water quality for processing medical devices, which is vital for the healthcare mission of the VA.

The contract aligns with the updated ANSI/AAMI ST108:2023 standard, which governs the quality of water used in sterile processing.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for:
1. Testing of utility water, critical water, and steam as per ANSI/AAMI ST108:2023 guidelines.
2. Maintenance and repair of sterile processing equipment related to critical water production and steam sterilization systems.
3. Changing Deionized (DI) tanks, system filters, and Reverse Osmosis (RO) membranes as required.
4. Conducting quarterly RO system sanitization and Distribution Loop sanitization.
5. Performing monthly water monitoring at specified locations including Audie Murphy SPS, Dental SPS, Kerrville SPS, and Northwest Healthcare Center SPS.
6. Providing all necessary labor, materials, tools, equipment, licenses, and permits to fulfill these requirements.
7. Delivering monthly quality reports and testing results to the VA.

Period of Performance
Base Year: 30 June 2025 – 29 June 2026; 1st Option Year: 30 June 2026 – 29 June 2027; 2nd Option Year: 30 June 2027 – 29 June 2028; 3rd Option Year: 30 June 2028 – 29 June 2029; 4th Option Year: 30 June 2029 – 29 June 2030.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed at various locations including Audie Murphy SPS in San Antonio, TX; Dental SPS in San Antonio, TX; Kerrville SPS in Kerrville, TX; and Northwest Healthcare Center SPS in San Antonio, TX.
