The Strategic Systems Programs (SSP) has awarded a contract on a sole-source basis to General Dynamics Mission Systems (GDMS) (CAGE 3CX85) for the Strategic Weapon System (SWS) Fire Control Subsystem (FCS) hardware, associated deliverables, and spares for production efforts supporting the second hull of the United Kingdom (U.K.) Dreadnought Class Ballistic Missile Submarines, Nuclear (SSBN), recently named as HMS Valiant, and the U.K. Software Facility. The contract contains a Cost-Plus-Incentive-Fee Line item with an expected completion date of August 22, 2025. The award date is August 22, 2019.
