Background
This solicitation is for the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) Specialized Security Training (SST) requirement. The background includes the agency issuing the contract, their mission, and the goal of the contract. The contract is related to supporting the Federal Flight Deck Officer (FFDO) Program in areas of project management, Government Furnished Equipment, Information and Property, planning & scheduling, data management, logistics, and technical assistance in the areas of initial training, firearms re-qualification, and recurrent training. The program aims to train, equip, and deputize eligible volunteer pilots of commercial passenger air carriers as Federal law enforcement officers to defend the flight decks of aircraft against acts of criminal violence and air piracy.

Work Details
The tasks under this contract include supporting the Federal Flight Deck Officer (FFDO) Program in various areas such as project management, logistics, technical assistance in training and firearms re-qualification. The program also requires instruction in firearms proficiency, use-of-force, judgmental pistol shooting, weapon retention, and other selected topics. The contractor will be required to work at their facility with exceptions for recurrent training programs held in Atlantic City, New Jersey, Dallas, Texas and Atlanta, GA.
Additionally, travel may be required for non-local training at TSA-CONUS and affected training sites to respond to TSA issued Unsatisfactory actions.

Place of Performance
The place of performance for this contract includes the contractor's facility with exceptions for recurrent training programs held in Atlantic City, New Jersey, Dallas, Texas and Atlanta, GA. Additionally, travel may be required for non-local training at TSA-CONUS and affected training sites to respond to TSA issued Unsatisfactory actions.
