Special Mode Transportation Services for the Marion, IL VA Medical Center   3

Background
The solicitation is for Special Mode (ambulatory Non-Emergent Hired Car and Wheelchair Van) services for beneficiaries of the Marion VA Medical Center's service area. The contract will be awarded on a firm-fixed price Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) basis with five 12-Month Ordering Periods.

The solicitation is reserved for 100% Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) participation only. Offerors must be registered in VetCert at the time of offer.

Work Details
The contractor is required to furnish Special Mode (ambulatory Non-Emergent Hired Car and Wheelchair Van) services for beneficiaries of the Marion VA Medical Center's service area. The services include providing transportation for eligible beneficiaries seven days per week, twenty-four hours per day, three hundred sixty-five days per year. The majority of requests for service will be between the hours of 6:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.

The contractor must ensure proper loading/unloading techniques are followed, provide through-the-door assisted service, observe patients during transport, and notify the VA of any unusual events or changes in patient condition. The contractor must also comply with qualifications, inspection, and documentation requirements.

Period of Performance
The period of performance for the contract is from 04/01/2024 to 03/31/2029.
