Background

The USDA's National Center for Agricultural Utilization Research, located in Peoria, IL, has a requirement for a Spe-ed SFE Sirocco Supercritical Aerogel Drying System or Equivalent to conduct research on starch aerogels.

Work Details
The contract requires the delivery of one Spe-ed SFE Sirocco Supercritical Aerogel Drying System or an equivalent system. The specifications include:
1. Computer controlled automated depressurization.
2. Adjustable rate of depressurization.
3. Capability to accommodate various vessel sizes.
4. CO2 pump with a flow rate up to 50mL/min.
5. Maximum pressure of at least 1,500 psi (103 bar).
6. Operating temperatures up to 150°C.
7. Ability to add a liquid pump.
8. Heating mechanism to prevent cooling during depressurization.
9. FOB Delivery, Installation, and Onsite Training are required.

Period of Performance
Delivery, installation, and training must be completed within 120 days after receipt of order (ARO).
