SPACE MODULAR COMMON CRYPTOGRAPHY

ACQUISTION STRATEGY

1. The Space Modular Common Cryptography (SMCC) program acquisition strategy is being updated to reflect the following strategy. The SMCC Program obtained adequate market research needed to develop and solidify the strategy outlined below.

2. The SMCC Program will consist of two (2) separate developmental efforts. The first effort consists of a Small/Cube satellite development utilizing a Suite B algorithm. The Small/Cube Sat Engineering and Manufacturing Development (EMD) effort is currently under Fair Opportunity Evaluation. The second effort will consist of Medium/Large satellite development utilizing Suite A algorithms.

3. The Medium/Large Sat EMD effort will be awarded as a Delivery Order on the General Services Administration (GSA) One Acquisition Solution for Integrated Services (OASIS) Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract vehicle. The Medium/Large Sat EMD Request for Proposal (RFP) is scheduled to be released no later than the fourth quarter of Fiscal Year 16 as a Cost Plus Incentive Fee (CPIF) Order. The Medium/Large Sat Full Rate Production (FRP) effort will be awarded as a Fair Opportunity Delivery Order on the AFLCMC/HNC Flexible Information Assurance Acquisition Tool (FIA2T) IDIQ contract vehicle. The RFP for the FIA2T IDIQ is was released on January 20, 2016.
