Southern Arizona VA Health Care System Tucson- Cleaning and Inspection of 200k Gallon Elevated Potable Water Tank **One-Time Service**   2

Background
The Southern Arizona VA Health Care System (SAVAHCS) has a requirement to clean & inspect the 200K gallon elevated potable water tank (Building 41) and receives a comprehensive report with the findings every 3 years. It was last inspected and cleaned in 2021.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide all equipment, materials, transportation, labor, and necessary personnel required to complete the cleaning and inspection of a welded steel elevated potable water tank (142.5ft high x 37Ft Diameter x13.7 ¾” ft Deep) (Building 41) built in 1961 by Chicago Bridge & Iron Company. The contractor will have vehicle access and 110 VAC is on site. The tower has 4 weld steel tubular columns and has a 24” hatch with an external ladder with safety cable.

The discharge is on the ground and the torus height to the bottom is 109 ft 4 1/2”. The contractor shall perform work in strict accordance with the specifications, Statement of Work, schedule, and all other supporting documents required for this contract. Work shall be performed within and around Building 41 (200K water tower) of the Southern Arizona VA Health Care System located at 3601 S. 6th Ave., Tucson, AZ 85723.

Period of Performance
Delivery of service to occur NLT 45 days from ARO. To minimize impact to patients, the vendor must contact the customer (Utilities section) to schedule work. Service will not be performed during holidays it and shall complete service during the work week (M-F) in no more than 5 consecutive calendar days (weather permitting).

Place of Performance
Work shall be performed within and around Building 41 (200K gallon elevated potable water tank) of the Southern Arizona VA Health Care System located at 3601 S. 6th Ave., Tucson, AZ 85723.
