This is a Sources Sought Notice ONLY.

The Department of State (DOS) has requirements for the design of an interior intruder anti-climb fence with a lockable pedestrian gate to augment the NE section of the existing wall at U.S Embassy Lisbon, Portugal. The scope of work (SOW) identifies the specific requirements for the performance of the Architectural-Engineer (A/E) services. The Designer will, in accordance with the terms and conditions set forth below, furnish all labor, management, facilities, supplies, equipment and material and all required services necessary for the performance of the work. The Designer will provide the required services and furnish to the U.S. Government (USG) drawings, specifications and other data with supporting material developed during the period of service as described in the requirements below.

Background
The Department of State (DOS) has requirements for the design of an interior intruder anti-climb fence with a lockable pedestrian gate to augment the NE section of the existing wall at U.S Embassy Lisbon, Portugal.

The goal of this contract is to provide Architectural-Engineer (A/E) services necessary for the performance of the work, which includes furnishing all labor, management, facilities, supplies, equipment, and materials required. The Designer will also provide drawings, specifications, and other data developed during the service period.

Work Details
The project involves the design and development of construction documents for a new anti-climb fence and a locking gate at U.S Embassy Lisbon.

The Designer must ensure compliance with DOS criteria and work with OBO to obtain necessary approvals. The scope of services includes:

- Phase 1 - Project Start (Kick off meeting and site visit)
- Phase 2 - Schematic Design (35% submission), development and approval
- Phase 3 - Construction Document (100% submission), development and approval
- Phase 4 - Permit Documents, securing OBO and host country permits as required.

The Designer must adhere to various design criteria including OBO Master Specifications for Anti-Climb Fence and Wall Details, Stainless Steel Fencing specifications, International Building Code (IBC), and local building authorities' standards. Security requirements will be dictated by the Post Regional Security Office (RSO). All submittals must be reviewed for compliance before submission.
