SNL/CA High Bay Laboratory Building – Design-Bid-Build

NTESS is seeking a General Construction Subcontractor to build a new high bay laboratory building from the ground up on a firm fixed price basis. For this posting, Subcontractor refers to a company with a direct contractual relationship with NTESS, lower-tier subcontractors refers to companies that the Subcontractor may contract with to perform various scopes of work, and Offeror refers to a company interested in proposing on this opportunity to become a Subcontractor.

The Subcontractor shall provide construction for the purpose of furnishing and installing all materials, labor, equipment, and services necessary to construct a new high bay laboratory building of approximately 16,800 gross square feet on an unused paved parking lot at Sandia National Laboratories located in Livermore, California. The new high bay laboratory building shall include approximately 11,470 sq. ft. and shall be approximately 33-feet high with associated single-story office space (approximately 5,330 sq. ft. and 21-feet high). Major features include: High Bay, Processing Lab, Mechanical Room, Electrical Room, Intermediate Distribution Room, Permanent and Open Office Area, Break Area, Toilets and Shower Rooms, Janitor's Closet, Entry Canopy, and associated mechanical, electrical, plumbing, controls, security, and fire alarm/protection systems, and exterior metal stair to roof. Features in addition to the high bay laboratory building include: Storage Yard space, and site-related civil and landscaping improvements.

A Request for Quotation, including NTESS construction drawings and specifications for this construction project, will be provided to Offerors meeting all the mandatory requirements, if released.
