Smithville Svc. Bridge Crack and Spall Concrete Repair   2

Contract award notification. The Kansas City District has developed plans to repair concrete spalls and cracks at the Service Bridge pier at Smithville Lake, MO. All existing spalled and delaminated concrete shall be removed and replaced at the designated Center Pier of the Service Bridge. The work shall consist of furnishing all labor, equipment, materials, and services required to remove and replace a portion of the existing concrete in accordance with specifications. The existing concrete defects to be repaired are identified in the plans. Approximately 6 cubic feet of concrete shall be removed and replaced. The work shall also consist of furnishing all labor, equipment, and services required to repair existing concrete cracks with epoxy injection adhesive after removal of all loose concrete. Approximately 10 linear feet of epoxy crack injection shall be performed. This quantity is approximate and should be verified by the contractor and the COR prior to crack repair. Extents shall be documented prior to the start of the repair. The quantity of crack injection shall be approved by the COR prior to the contractor performing the crack injection.
