Shop Rag Laundry Service for MCAS Beaufort   3

Background
The contract is for weekly delivery and laundry services for shop rags for Marine Corps Air Station (MCAS) Beaufort, SC. The objective is to provide squadrons aboard MCAS Beaufort with weekly delivery of laundered shop rags. The base will require approximately 2000 rags delivered and cleaned each week. The contractor shall furnish all personnel, equipment, transportation, and supplies necessary to provide laundry rental services, including pickup and delivery for Marine Corps Air Station, Beaufort, SC. Squadrons utilize the items for various mechanical operations including motorized vehicle maintenance.

Work Details
The contractor is required to provide rental and cleaning of shop rags. The towels shall be laundered and dried by the best commercial practices and shall be free of paint, oil, grease, metal, plastics, or other foreign materials and shall have no objectionable odor.

The initial supply of new rags will be 2000 each. Soiled rags shall be swapped weekly on a one-for-one basis with new and/or cleaned rags. Rags which may be classified as hazardous waste or contain hazardous materials generated by the contractor shall be the responsibility of the Contractor to dispose and/or clean according to legal and/or regulatory requirements.

Period of Performance
The resultant contract will include a Base Period of 12 months and two 12-month option periods to be exercised at the government's discretion. The base period is from May 21, 2024 through May 20, 2025; Option Year 1 is from May 21, 2025 through May 20, 2026; Option Year 2 is from May 21, 2026 through May 20, 2027.

Place of Performance
Shop rags will be delivered Tuesday of each week to the Environmental Office, Building 1205 at MCAS Beaufort. The normal work week is Monday through Friday from 0730-1600.
