Shielded Mild Detonating Cord (SMDC) Test Tips   3

The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Indian Head Explosive Ordnance Disposal Technology Division (NSWC IHEODTD) intends to compete a Firm Fixed Price Contract on a limited source basis to Universal Propulsion Company, Inc. dba United Technology Corporation Aerospace Systems (UTAS) at 3530 Branscombe Road, Fairfield, Ca 94533 or Pacific Scientific Energetic Materials Company, LLC (PACSCI) at 3601 Union Road, Hollister, CA 95923 for the acquisition of Shielded Mild Detonating Cord (SMDC) Test Tips. The contractor will manufacture the tips according to drawing number 841AS450. Drawing no. 841AS450 is a Distribution Statement C labeled drawing with a list of approved sources of supply. The delivery will be within 60 days after date of contract award. UTAS and PACSCI are the only two companies that are approved sources of supply. The NAICS code is 325920 with a size standard of 750 employees. The FSC is 1377. The proposed contract action is for supplies for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only two sources under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. This notice of intent is NOT a request for competitive proposals. Vendors who feel capable of providing the supplies referenced above shall fully identify their capabilities to provide the stated hardware within 10 days after publication of this synopsis.
