SERVICE CONTRACT

Background
The National Institutes of Health, National Institute of Child Health and Development (NICHD), in support of the work of the National Institute of Diabetes, Digestive, and Kidney Disease (NIDDK), intends to award a purchase order without providing for full and open competition to SIEMENS HEALTHCARE DIAGNOSTICS. The NIDDK supports a wide range of medical research through grants to universities and other medical research institutions across the country. The Institute also supports government scientists who conduct basic, translational, and clinical research across a broad spectrum of research topics and serious, chronic diseases and conditions related to the Institute's mission.

Work Details
This purchase is a Service Agreement which includes Preventive Maintenance Service. Siemens Healthcare Diagnostics will provide a qualified technician to perform preventive maintenance and repair service as needed on the Siemens Dimension EXL Chemistry Analyzer. The work includes the replacement of selected parts, verification of alignments, cleaning and lubrication of mechanical subassemblies, and verification of factory specifications. The Service Agreement also covers total service and repair five (5) days a week on site.

Period of Performance
Period of performance is Base Year 03/01/2023 – 02/29/2024.
Option Year 1: 03/01/2024 – 02/28/2025.
Option Year 2: 03/01/2025 – 02/28/2026.
Option Year 3: 03/01/2026 – 02/28/2027.
Option Year 4: 03/01/2027 – 02/29/2028.
