Background
The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS) is issuing this solicitation for the installation of high-density mobile archive rolling shelves at the DC Booth Historic National Fish Hatchery located in Spearfish, SD.

The mission of the National Fish and Aquatic Conservation Archives (NFACA) is to assemble, preserve, protect, interpret, and make accessible to researchers the history and technology of the federal fisheries program. The facility holds over 1.9 million archival records and 14,000 objects, necessitating efficient storage solutions to meet federal legal requirements and DOI policies.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for installing a new rail-mounted high-density mobile shelving track system that accommodates existing and future archival compliant artifact storage cabinets. The installation includes:
- Installation of rail mounted high-density mobile archive rolling shelving units to fit existing Geological Storage Cabinets provided by USFWS.
- The system must allow for double stacking of cabinets (two high) with specific dimensions for single and double door cabinets.
- The installation will create three aisles for access to cabinet doors when opened.
- Existing tracked rolling shelves need grout filled adjacent to six 24’ long rails to eliminate tripping hazards.
- A site visit is required for accurate measurements prior to installation.
- Bids must include freight, installation of rails/tracks on existing concrete floors, installation of cabinets onto the new system, removal of debris, and an instructional tutorial on operation and maintenance during final walk-through.

Period of Performance
The contract period is from April 28, 2025, to June 30, 2025.
