Background
The solicitation is for a laundry service contract for the West Texas VA facility. The work includes providing laundry/linen services in accordance with industry standards and sanitary conditions specified by The Joint Commission (TJC). Work Details
The contractor is required to furnish all labor, equipment, supervision, management, supplies, bulk delivery carts, transportation, and facilities necessary to perform laundry/linen services. This includes pick-up and delivery of items in support of patient care programs. The services are required weekly, excluding federal holidays.

The estimated quantities of soiled general linen/laundry and entrance mat rental for each year of the contract are provided. Historical data on soiled pounds laundered is also included.

Period of Performance
The contract period will be 12 consecutive months from the date of award, with four 1-year renewal option periods as defined in the solicitation.

Place of Performance
The contract will be performed at the West Texas VA Healthcare System located at 300 Veterans Blvd., Big Spring, Texas 79720.
