Alexandria VA Quarters Lawn Service

Background
The Alexandria VA Medical Center (AVAMC) is a 160+ acre facility located at 2495 Shreveport Highway, Pineville, LA 71360-4044. The National Contracting Office No. 16 is seeking contractors capable of providing Quarters Grounds Maintenance Services to maintain the grounds of the AVAMC. The goal of this contract is to ensure that the grounds are well-maintained and visually appealing, contributing to the overall mission of the AVAMC.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, supplies, facilities, transportation, tools, materials, supervision, and other non-personal services necessary for Grounds Maintenance. Specific tasks include:

- Maintaining shrubs and hedges;
- Mulching beds;
- Removing weeds;
- Cutting lawns as scheduled;
- Planting seasonal flowers;
- Removing dead trees/shrubs/debris;
- Fertilizing lawns twice a year;
- Picking up fallen leaves;
- Sanding pavements after freezing rain events;
- Daily debris pickup along Highway 71.

Lawn mowing will occur weekly for a total of 40 cuttings per year. The contractor must also provide laborers to monitor and collect trash daily from 0700 to 1530 hours during weekdays. Quality control measures must be implemented to ensure compliance with contract standards. The contractor will be responsible for ordering and applying necessary landscaping supplies and maintaining all grounds equipment.

Period of Performance
One (1) year with four (4) one-year options.
