Background
The VA Loma Linda Healthcare System (VALLHS) requires a contractor to provide all supervision, labor, equipment, supplies, and transportation necessary to steam-clean and degrease kitchen hoods, ductwork, and exhaust fans located in Building 2 that support the facility’s Dietetics and Canteen services. The contract is a base plus four (4) option-period contract beginning June 1, 2022, to May 31, 2026. The work schedule includes cleaning the Canteen Bistro hood on the first and third Fridays of each month; two large and two small hoods located in Building 2’s Main Kitchen (Rm. 1C33) on the second Friday of each month; two small hoods located in Building 2’s Canteen (Rm 2F30) on the second Friday of each month; and ductwork fans and exhaust fans located on the roof quarterly (October, January, April, and July) on the fourth Friday of the respective month.

Work Details
The contractor is required to provide all labor, supervision, equipment, tools, supplies, and transportation necessary to clean and degrease kitchen hoods, ductwork, and exhaust fans supporting VA Loma Linda's Dietetics and Canteen services in Building 2. The cleaning process includes steam-cleaning/degreasing using low pressure USDA or facility-approved cleaning products. The work schedule specifies the days for cleaning each component. Additionally, certifications such as National Air Duct Cleaners Association Certification and OSHA Confined Space Certification are required for all personnel performing on the contract.

The contract is a base plus four (4) option-period contract beginning June 1, 2022, to May 31, 2026.
