Background: The contract is for EMS Housekeeping Services at the George E. Wahlen VA Medical Center in Salt Lake City, Utah. Details: The tasks and services to be completed under the contract include:
- Providing coverage for three different shifts (total of 12 employees) at the VA Medical Center on specific days of the week.
- Providing housekeeping services for Fisher House, including cleaning and maintaining patient rooms.
- Performing monthly floor services for carpet and VCT (vinyl composition tile).
- Cleaning and disinfecting drinking fountains, exam tables, restrooms, and other areas.
- Dusting and cleaning horizontal and vertical surfaces, including furniture.
- Stocking restrooms with essential supplies.
- Following all applicable regulations and standards for sanitary maintenance.
- Ensuring building security by following access protocols.
- Wearing appropriate uniforms and displaying identification badges.
- Providing mandatory training to all contractor employees.
- Protecting property and equipment from loss or damage.
- Complying with smoking policy and cellular phone restrictions.
- Using appropriate language and avoiding sexual harassment.
- Employing fully qualified personnel with necessary qualifications and clearances.
- Maintaining insurance coverage for workers' compensation and public liability.
