Background
The RQOO CENTAC 1 Overhaul project is issued by the Aerospace Systems Directorate at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, OH. The facility operates two Ingersoll-Rand 5500 HP six-stage Centac centrifugal air compressor systems, with the first four stages designated as Model C-150.

The purpose of this contract is to restore the 4 Stage Section of Centac 1, which has shown significant degradation over the past six months, to full operational capability to support advanced propulsion technology research.

Work Details
The contractor shall perform a total machine refurbishment of the Centac-4C-150 compressor system to restore it to as-new or better capability. This includes:
1. Witnessing and participating in a pre-teardown checkout run to assess the compressor's condition and providing guidance on operating parameters.
2. Conducting a machine alignment and thermal growth study during the pre-teardown run, with results documented prior to disassembly.
3. Measuring existing shaft alignment data for comparison with final alignment data post-reassembly.
4. Ensuring all inspection, overhaul, and repair activities comply with applicable API standards (API-RP 687 and API 672).
