Background
This solicitation is issued by the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) for the procurement of a Ride-On Floor Scraper/Chipper. Work Details
The contract involves the delivery of one Ride-On Floor Scraper/Chipper with the following specifications:
1. Battery powered capability
2. Zero-turn radius capability
3. Capable of removing standard Vinyl Composition Tile (VCT), Luxury vinyl tile (LVT), ceramic tile, and similar surfaces.
4. Production capacity: no less than 3000 square feet per hour
5. Blade width: between 2 inches and 12 inches
6. Travel speed: 300 feet per minute or similar
7. Voltage: 48 V with battery power capability
8. Minimum dimensions: 60 inches by 24 inches by 50 inches
9. Weight: Not exceeding 1650 lbs
10. Footprint: no greater than 65 inches by 24 inches
11. Standard non-marking wheels
12. Minimum run time of 8 hours, with a preference for a 15-hour run time
13. Must fit through a 25-inch entry door
14. Adjustable blade angles and must fit in most elevators
15. Pivoting blade holders and excellent work surface visibility
16. High efficiency and high torque wheel motors (self-driving)
17. Ergonomic operator handling with removable weight options up to 500 lbs
18. Includes various sizes of spring steel tile blades (6 inch, 8 inch, 10 inch, and 12 inch) and carbide tipped tile blades (2 inch and 4 inch).
