RFI- Extended Maritime Mobility Vessel

Background
The Department of the Air Force, Air Force Life Cycle Management Center at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base has issued a Request for Information (RFI) for an Extended Maritime Mobility Vessel. The purpose of the RFI is to gather information for market research and does not constitute a solicitation. The RFI provides background on the Guardian Angel (GA) surface maritime operations and the need for an air-droppable, survivable, open-ocean capable, hard-hulled watercraft to provide long-range maritime Personnel Recovery for the United States Air Force.

Work Details
The specific system requirements outlined in the RFI include capabilities such as air-droppability, compatibility with existing platforms, modularity for carrying personnel or litter patients, travel range and speed requirements, reconfigurability for mounting defensive weapons systems, and the ability to deliver 2 units within 6 months after receipt of order. Interested parties are instructed to provide information on their company/institute, technology and qualifications, product specifications, certifications, warranty terms, spare parts, training details, cost estimates, current government contracts or commercial solutions provided, product improvements and associated risks. Responses are due electronically by 12:00PM Eastern time on 10 July 2023.
