The U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) is excited to launch the EUSOS effort as an opportunity to engage Industry technology companies in an intentional, innovative, and insightful way. The USPTO is at the cutting edge of the nation's technological progress and information technology underpins every action and workflow process within the USPTO. An important component of the USPTO agenda is leveraging information technology to improve and enhance USPTO's consideration of applications and granting U.S. patents and registering trademarks, enable the USPTO to maintain current business production, and meet legislative and legal requirements.

Background
The U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) is excited to launch the EUSOS effort as an opportunity to engage Industry technology companies in an intentional, innovative, and insightful way. An important component of the USPTO agenda is leveraging information technology to improve and enhance USPTO’s consideration of applications and granting U.S. patents and registering trademarks, enable the USPTO to maintain current business production, and meet legislative and legal requirements. The United States Patent Trade Office (USPTO) is a federal agency comprised of approximately 13,000 employees, headquartered in Alexandria, Virginia with regional offices in Detroit, Michigan, Dallas, Texas, and San Jose, California. USPTO is an independent operating agency within the Department of Commerce (DOC), subject to the policy direction of the Secretary of Commerce. The mission of the USPTO is to administer the laws and regulations related to patents and trademarks in order to promote industrial and technical progress in the United States and strengthen the national economy.

Work Details
The objective of the EUSOS effort is to optimize and improve efficiency of End User lifecycle support to include production operations, maintenance as well as improvements and new implementations through Agile teams that are cross-functional and have the skills needed to deliver business value to each sprint or iteration. The U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) Information Technology (IT) Product Catalog introduced in FY 2019 has thirty (30) products aligned to one (1) of four (4) product lines: Patent Product Line, Trademark Product Line, Enterprise Business Product Line, and Enterprise Infrastructure Product Line.
