Background
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is seeking a qualified Small Business for the replacement of booster pump at George Bush International Airport Air Traffic Control Tower (ATCT) in Houston, Texas. The FAA operates under the new FAA Acquisition Management System, which mandates that the FAA rewrite its acquisition regulations and grants legislative relief from certain laws such as Federal Acquisition Streamlining Act of 1994, Small Business Act, and Competition in Contracting Act.

Work Details
The contractor is required to furnish all labor, supervision, supplies, material, tools, equipment, transportation, insurance, and any engineering required for the replacement of IAH ATCT booster pumps. The work includes removing existing booster pumps and connecting piping sections to the existing incoming and outgoing water lines, installing new replacement booster pumps and associated piping sections, gauges, etc., similar to the existing installation and connecting to the existing incoming and outgoing water lines. The contractor shall also install a new control panel for the pumps utilizing the existing 480VAC electrical power feed. Additionally, the contractor shall be responsible for coordinating the work of various trades involved in the job.

Place of Performance
All work shall take place in and around the IAH ATCT booster pump system located at Level 2 (374 floor) of the control tower shaft at 4215 Will Clayton Parkway, Houston, Texas 77032.
