This Solicitation is a Request for Quote, utilizing simplified acquisition procedures, for a firm fixed priced construction purchase order.

The USDA ARS requires that all labor, supervision, tools, and materials be provided to install a new roof to current code requirements on Buildings - B57, B38, B35, B23, & B14 at the USDA, ARS, Subtropical Horticulture Research Center, 13601 Old Cutler Road, Miami, Florida 33158. All work shall be performed in accordance with the terms, conditions, drawings, and specifications contained in the solicitation documents.

A single organized site visit has been scheduled for Tuesday, August 9, 2022, at 2:00 PM EST. Please RSVP for the site visit by emailing Karla.Agurto@usda.gov and shalunda.mix@usda.gov by Monday, August 8, 2022, at 2:00 PM EST.

QUOTE MUST BE ANNOTATED AS SUCH AND REFERENCE THE SOLICITATION NUMBER. Please include a detailed breakdown of price with various cost elements (e.g. materials, sub-costs, controllers, etc.). Additional quote instructions can be found in Section L.

SIZE OF PROJECT: In accordance with FAR 36.204, the estimated price range is Between $100,000 and $250,000.

All questions pertaining to this solicitation, including questions that arise during the site visit, must be submitted to shalunda.mix@usda.gov by 2:00p.m. CST, Thursday, August 11, 2022. Questions that are not submitted in writing or that are not submitted by August 11, 2022., may not receive a response. Questions/answers discussed at the site visit will not be binding on the resultant contract unless submitted in writing and incorporated into the solicitation by amendment.
