Replace Bldg 1 Air Handler- USDA, ARS, Canal Point, FL   3

This is a pre-solicitation notice.

The USDA, Agricultural Research Service (ARS) Southeast Area (SEA) Sugarcane Field Station in Canal Point, FL has a requirement for a construction project to remove the current air handling unit (designated ERU-1) and replace it with one that is similar in size, footprint, capacity, electrical connections, and other requirements. The contractor will provide all necessary labor, materials, and equipment necessary to accomplish the requirements.

USDA ARS SEA intends to issue a Request for Quote, utilizing simplified acquisition procedures, for a firm fixed priced construction purchase order. The solicitation is anticipated to be a Total Small Business Set-Aside. The NAICS code for this requirement is 238220 - Plumbing, Heating, and Air-Conditioning Contractors with a size standard of $16.5M. In Accordance with FAR 36.204 the estimated magnitude of this requirement is between $100,000 and $250,000. Contractors shall not directly contact the facility to discuss this requirement. During the solicitation phase, contractors will be provided the opportunity to ask any relevant questions.

This notice is issued solely for information and planning purposes - it does not constitute the Request for Quote (RFQ). The Government anticipates issuing an RFQ for this requirement on/about March 1, 2021. This notice does not commit the U.S. Government to contract for these services.
