Description

This Sources Sought notice is to satisfy the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement 206.302-1(d) PGI posting requirement. The Naval Surface Warfare Center Panama City Division (NSWC PCD) intends to issue a solicitation and award a contract for Repair, Overhaul, and Depot Maintenance of the Mine Countermeasures Unmanned Surface Vehicle (MCM USV) Craft, Sweep Payload (including Magnetic & Acoustic Generation Next Unmanned Superconducting Sweep (MAGNUSS) upgrade), and future planned mine neutralization payload support. Areas of support will include depot repairs, engineering changes, updates, and modifications to support MCM USV sustainment. Additional areas may include testing, training, logistics support, supplies, parts, and associated documentation for engineering and technical support of the MCM USV Craft.

Background
The Naval Surface Warfare Center Panama City Division (NSWC PCD) intends to issue a solicitation and award a contract for Repair, Overhaul, and Depot Maintenance of the Mine Countermeasures Unmanned Surface Vehicle (MCM USV) Craft, Sweep Payload (including Magnetic & Acoustic Generation Next Unmanned Superconducting Sweep (MAGNUSS) upgrade), and future planned mine neutralization payload support. Areas of support will include depot repairs, engineering changes, updates, and modifications to support MCM USV sustainment. The Sources Sought notice is issued by the NSWC PCD on behalf of the Program Executive Office Unmanned & Small Combatants (PEO USC) for information and planning purposes only. It is not a Request for Proposal (RFP) and a formal solicitation is not available at this time.

Work Details
Textron Systems was awarded the Unmanned Influence Sweep System (UISS) N00024-14-C-6322 contract in 2014 to design and develop the MCM Mission Package which includes craft, mine sweep, and mine hunt systems. Currently, no other known sources possess the technical expertise, necessary or technical documentation to perform the required repair, overhaul, and depot maintenance support for the MCM USV. Accordingly, capabilities statements are requested for companies capable of MCM USV repair, overhaul, depot maintenance and engineering changes, updates, and modifications.
