Renovation – Phase 1 (Renovate Airops and Gym), Building 310 Dam Neck Annex, Virginia Beach, Virginia

Background
The solicitation is for the renovation of an existing AIROPS and gym at Building 310, Dam Neck Annex in Virginia Beach, Virginia. The work is part of a multiple award construction contract (MACC) 8(a) set aside for facilities primarily in the NAVFAC MIDLANT Hampton Roads Area of Responsibility (HR AOR). The estimated budget range for this project is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. The Department of Labor (DoL) General Decision Number: VA20240167 dated 23 February 2024 applies to the wage rate requirements for this work.

Work Details
The renovation work includes connecting the existing gym and AIROPS to create three new main areas (1, 2, 3). Area 1 will be used for parachute packing with a new work counter provided between Area 1 and the existing Paraloft Addition to the North. Area 2 will have four new offices with full height glass walls and new low walls for a workstation area. Area 3 will be a new storage area with high density shelving/storage. Additionally, the work involves minimal demolition for the PT/Rehab area, space planning, cost estimating, specification preparation, basis of design selection, best value determination, finish selection, procurement, oversight of furniture fixtures and equipment installation, inventory and relocation of existing furniture if needed, and modification of building systems such as Civil, Structural, Electrical, Mechanical and Fire Protection to accommodate the renovation.

Period of Performance
The contract completion date is 540 calendar days from the date of task order award.

Place of Performance
The construction projects will be performed at Building 310, Dam Neck Annex in Virginia Beach, Virginia.
