Marion VAMC Building 16, when renovated, will house the VA Northern Indiana Health Care System,
Marion Campus, Director, Executive Leadership Team and other major administrative and operational
departments. Building 16 will not be occupied during renovation; however, the project will be phased to
allow circulation between connected Buildings 15 and 17.

Background
The Marion VAMC Building 16 will be renovated to house the VA Northern Indiana Health Care System, Marion Campus, Director, Executive Leadership Team, and other major administrative and operational departments. The project will be phased to allow circulation between connected Buildings 15 and 17.

Work Details
The proposed Renovate Building 16 project includes hazardous material abatement, exterior and interior modifications, demolition of existing structures, selective demolition to basement floor, phased total demolition including asbestos-containing material (ACM) abatement, new exterior wall openings, and a phasing plan for construction barriers/barricades, temporary signage, infectious control.
The total construction duration is 486 days from the Notice to Proceed.

The Period of Performance for the contract is 486 calendar days after receipt of Notice to Proceed.

The project location is at the Northern VA Medical Center, 1700 E 38th St, Marion, IN 46953.
