Description

The wallpaper in the toilet rooms and corridors on the twelfth floor of the James Lawrence King Federal Justice Building needs to be removed and the walls painted. Contractor shall remove the wallpaper, prepare the walls for paint, and paint the walls indicated on the Request for Quotation.

Contractor shall temporarily remove and store all wall art; protect all flooring, wood trim, and adjacent materials; remove light switch covers and label; remove the wallpaper; repair, sand, and prime the walls; paint the walls with a durable scrubbable paint; rehang artwork in original locations; and reinstall the light switch covers.

Background
The United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit is issuing a contract for the removal of wallpaper and painting of walls in the James Lawrence King Federal Justice Building, located at 99 N.E. Fourth Street, Miami, Florida.

The mission of this contract is to enhance the aesthetic and functional quality of the building's interior, specifically on the twelfth floor where the toilet rooms and corridors require significant refurbishment.

Work Details
The contractor is required to complete the following tasks:
1. Temporarily remove and store all wall art.
2. Protect all flooring, wood trim, and adjacent materials during work.
3. Remove light switch covers and label them for reinstallation.
4. Remove existing wallpaper from specified areas.
5. Repair, sand, and prime the walls to prepare them for painting.
6. Paint the walls with a durable scrubbable paint as indicated in the attached drawings.
7. Rehang artwork in its original locations after painting is completed.
8. Reinstall light switch covers after completing wall work.

The scope includes both basic requirements (removal and painting in specific areas) and optional requirements (additional areas if quoted). Areas include single occupancy toilet rooms, courtroom reception area, multi-occupancy toilet rooms, public elevator lobby, various corridors, and vestibules.

Period of Performance
The period of performance will commence on the date of award and is expected to be completed within twelve (12) weeks.

The construction projects will be performed at the James Lawrence King Federal Justice Building located at 99 N.E. Fourth Street, Miami, Florida 33132.
