Recapitalize Phase III, Station & ANT Buildings, USCG Sector Buffalo

Background
The project is titled 'Recapitalize Phase III, Station & ANT Buildings' and is located at USCG Sector Buffalo in Buffalo, NY. The project involves the demolition and disposal of various buildings and structures, as well as the design and construction of new facilities. The project is part of a larger redevelopment plan that began in 1988, with Phases I and II already completed. The site is approximately 28.4 acres, including submerged land, and lies in Flood Hazard Zone AE. The project site borders the Lake Erie waterfront to the west and the Buffalo River to the north.

Work Details
The scope of work includes demolition and disposal of various buildings and structures, design and construction of new facilities, installation of pavements, construction of a finger pier, modifications to the bulkhead, associated site work, permits, utilities, and construction.

The project also involves restoration and improvement of the rip-rap slope along the Buffalo Harbor, demolition and construction of a new ATON buoy storage area, raising the Phase IV project area to a specific elevation, field locating property lines, preparing a metes and bounds property line survey for USCG property temporary and permanent license, preparing a campus grading plan based on reference drawings. The STATION-ANT Building will be operational 24 hours a day with varying numbers of occupants. The building shall incorporate antiterrorism (AT) based mitigating measures within UFC 4-010-01 ‘DoD MINIMUM ANTITERRORISM STANDARDS FOR BUILDINGS’. The Contractor shall also provide all necessary materials for sustainable design strategies to minimize energy consumption and conserve resources.
