Guam - Shredding Services | Base 4 Options

Background
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is seeking to obtain information in support of market research for shredding services at the Guam Medical Center and Guam Veteran Centers. The goal of this contract is to ensure the secure destruction of sensitive paper materials in compliance with applicable regulations.

Work Details
The contractor will provide document destruction services, which include:
- Shredding and disposing of all sensitive paper materials at the Guam Veteran Center and Guam Community Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOC).
- Providing all necessary personnel, equipment, tools, materials, vehicles, and services for shredding.
- Handling confidential materials according to local, state, and federal regulations.
- Demonstrating expertise in confidential document destruction management.
- Providing a certificate of destruction after each service, including date, signature, amount shredded, and HIPAA disclaimer.
- Shredding all VA materials on-site under VA supervision.
- Securing and sealing all loads leaving VA facilities before transportation.
- Destroying all shredded material within 48 hours per NIST Records Management regulations.
- Reporting any security breaches immediately to the VA and maintaining documentation of the chain of custody for all materials removed from VA campuses.
- Providing secure lockable containers for document collection and ensuring that collection methods complement current processes at the Medical Center.

Period of Performance
Base period plus four one-year options.
